The problem is, there is no standard accepted color associated with each pitch. Probably the most common color scheme today would be the <a title=\"Chroma-Notes\" href=\"http:\/\/chroma-notes.com\/\">&#8220;Chroma-Notes&#8221; colors<\/a> used by <a title=\"Boomwhackers\" href=\"http:\/\/boomwhackers.com\/\">Boomwhackers<\/a>. This system makes allowances for blended colors on the flats\/sharps. The thinking behind these colors is discussed on <a title=\"Chroma-Notes\" href=\"http:\/\/chroma-notes.com\/products.html\">this page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Candida Tobin\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tobinmusic.co.uk\/\">Candida Tobin<\/a> used her own <a title=\"Tobin Colors\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tobinmusic.co.uk\/content\/products\/bookcomp.htm\">system of colors<\/a> for teaching beginning music students with great success. The colors seem to have been chosen arbitrarily.<\/p>\n<p>The <a title=\"We Hear and Play\" href=\"http:\/\/wehearandplay.com\/\">&#8220;We Hear and Play&#8221;<\/a> system for teaching absolute pitch was used by the Tanedas when training very young children to play piano. or &#8220;magenta&#8221; with kids, for example). The Mr. Noteman system would be a slight modification of the rainbow colors (ROYGBIV), close to the Boomwhacker designations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proposed Mr. Noteman Coloring System<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">C &#8211; Red<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">D &#8211; Orange<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\">E &#8211; Yellow<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">F &#8211; Green<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">G &#8211; Blue<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">A &#8211; Purple<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #ff99cc;\">B &#8211; Pink<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mrnoteman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Color-Strip.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-455\" alt=\"Color Strip\" src=\"https:\/\/mrnoteman.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Color-Strip-300x26.png\" width=\"500\" height=\"56\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I do not know how extensively I would use colored notes for teaching pitches. I am very leery of getting too far away from teaching what music looks like when encountered in the &#8220;real&#8221; world.
